BioPolymers are macromolecules created from plant-based chemicals. Wood and cotton are two well-known biopolymers, but there are many others.  BioPolymers are naturally biodegradable. Ours come from a safe and sustainable supply chain - never petrochemicals!

Emerald Finishing has developed a unique polymerization method for naturally-sourced biomolecules and biopolymers, that when blended together provide an outstanding finishing technology for textiles and footwear that outperforms and outlasts all other DWR finishing technologies. This unique technology also enables continuous and waterless piece dyeing of cotton and many synthetic materials without highly specialized capital equipment.

BioPolymers work especially well with natural fibers, but they also provide outstanding performance and durability on synthetics as well. To the best of our knowledge, we are the only company to primarily use BioPolymers in our finishing technology.
